number 521 which travels between sacramento and davis running about 30 minutes late this morning. so give yourself some extra time. 880 the nimitz approaching and passing the coliseum is moving along just fine. no accidents so far for 880. very light traffic over at the san mateo bridge. here's lawrence with a look at the forecast. >> all right. liza, we have a couple of clouds outside right now. looks like a few more clouds on the way throughout the morning hours. then by the time we get to the afternoon a lot of sunshine as high pressure builds in. still breezy in spots especially at the coastline. temperatures not as cold because of the cloud cover some 30s and 40s. as we head toward the afternoon we should satisfy some sunshine and just a few passing clouds and 50s and 60s for highs. so yeah, looks like this low is finally kicking eastward. a cool weekend but that low is shifting moving toward the east. high pressure going to be building in. that is really going to warm up the temperatures very nicely. going to be mild today and then i think

today. clear in the central valley. 50s into sacramento and also into fresno. the high country of course just a ton of snow up there. 38 degrees in lake tahoe, 42 degrees in yosemite, 54 in redding for the high. i think we're looking good around the bay area this afternoon. lots of sunshine about 57 degrees fairly comfortable into san jose. east bay temperatures a little cooler. plan on highs about 50 in antioch, 50 fairfield and about 52 degrees in pleasant hill. inside the bay mid-50s into oakland. about 53 degrees in san francisco. 56 degrees in santa rosa. next couple of days other than a couple of passing clouds lots of sunshine in the afternoon. some chilly mornings then a slide chance we could see some showers as we head in toward late saturday night into sunday. monday and tuesday back to some dry weather. >>> opportunities in newtown, connecticut are getting a tour of their new campus today. tomorrow will be the first day back to school since a gunman killed 20 students and six adults at sandy hook elementary school. students are getting a tour today. classes will be held a few

in lake tahoe, 45 yosemite and 57 degrees in the sacramento valley. looks like our futurecast model is keeping things nice and clear. you have that huge dome of high pressure overhead no fog to speak of. we may see a couple of patches of fog return to the coastline toward the weekend but in the meantime, nice and clear for today. sunny and bright and really some nice temperatures to go along with that likely to see some 60s beginning to pop up in the south bay. 61 degrees in san jose. about 60 in sunnyvale and about 61 degrees in redwood city. temperatures a little bit cooler into the east bay but not bad. mostly sunny all day long. inside the bay sunny 60 in oakland, 62 santa rosa, 57 mill valley. so looking out over the next few days, it looks like a return to some spring-like conditions outside. mid-60s maybe even a little warmer on friday and into saturday. looks like the temperatures may begin to col down just a little bit as we head in toward the beginning of the next week. next week we start to talk about rain but for at least the next f

54 sunshine in sacramento. 56 degrees in fresno. the high country looking good. temperatures there in the 40s. should be an easy ride. still it looks like around the bay area today, we are enjoying some sunshine and temperatures moving into the upper 50s in the south bay. 58 degrees in san jose. 58 in morgan hill. and 57 degrees in mountain view. even along the coastline we'll see temperatures there in the mid- to upper 50s. 53 degrees in livermore. 55 in pleasanton. should be about 55 degrees in walnut creek. as you head inside the bay today plenty of sunshine about 58 degrees in oakland. 56 in san francisco and sunny. 56 degrees also in santa rosa. high pressure holding on. saturday things change. a few clouds begin to roll into our skies and maybe late saturday night into sunday a chance of rain returning to the bay area. doesn't look like a big storm but could be a little wet. then drying out monday and tuesday. by then we may actually see some temperatures moving up into the 60s. that's the latest forecast, guys. back to you. >> thank you. >>> a federal judge has refused

sacramento. and 57 degrees into monterey bay. latest computer forecast models show mostly clear skies with occasional high clouds passing through. otherwise, it is going to stay dry today. then another cold night tomorrow morning but probably in the quit as cold as this morning. temperatures about 56 degrees in san jose for a high today. 55 in san mateo. 55 also in hayward. east bay numbers mainly up into the 50s although you see the blue over the mountaintops means the temperatures will stay in the 40s and looks like high as 57 in oakland, maybe the hotspot how about 58 degrees in santa rosa. next couple of days we are looking at lots of sunshine and some warmer weather, some 60s showing up across the board as we head in toward tomorrow and right in through the weekend staying dry probably through monday but i think toward the million-dollar of next week a major change in the weather pattern usually a dry spell in the middle of winter. this is it. after this, it looks like winter is going to make a nice return. >> all right. >> if it's not cold e
